The Heart Behind The Soul of the Bird
Hi, I’m Claudia Love, the heart behind The Soul of the Bird.
My journey into holistic health and herbalism began with my training as a full-spectrum doula at Cornerstone Doula Training, followed by becoming a certified massage therapist and health educator at the National Holistic Institute. Currently, I’m deepening my knowledge at The Science and Art of Herbalism to further refine my skills as an herbalist.
Throughout my life, one theme has remained constant: the importance of sovereignty over my body and cultivating a deep, sacred relationship with the land. In a world increasingly disconnected from nature, my passion is to inspire others to reconnect with our plant allies, find joy in using their medicine, and appreciate the power of natural healing. I believe in a holistic approach—where herbal medicine and allopathic care work in harmony, each playing its unique role in supporting health and well-being.
Each of the herbs I work with is either ethically wildcrafted by me or carefully sourced from trusted local apothecaries in the Bay Area. I prioritize sustainability and quality, ensuring that every plant is responsibly grown and effective in its healing properties. I take a hands-on approach to every step, from foraging and harvesting to blending, ensuring each product reflects my deep respect for the plants and the land that sustains us.
As a native Hawaiian, and being born and raised in Hawai’i, my connection to the land runs deep. For me, the land is not just a place—it’s a relationship, a teacher, and a source of vitality. Sharing my love and knowledge of the earth’s medicine with others is my deepest calling. Through The Soul of the Bird, I hope to pass on this gift, guiding others to rediscover the healing wisdom that nature offers.
